Year 10s

Year 10 DiDA Core

The deadline is fast approaching for all Year 10s to have finished their Unit one DiDA project.

Friday 23rd October 2009

We will then give students feedback as to how they can improve their projects. The final marks then go to the examboard on 1st December 2009.

To help your child please encourage them to spend time after school working on their projects. They are welcome to use A12 as long as there is a teacher or other member of the ICT team in the office. On Wednesdays starting this week we have DiDA Catch-Up in A12.

Also ask them what grade they are on. If they are on 18 points or more they are heading for a C grade. A B grade can be secured with 24 points. A total of 30 points will get an A grade while 36 points earns an A*.

Your child will at present be improving documents and linking them to the eportfolio. Ask them how many more they have got to do.

Year 11s

Core Year 11 DiDA

If your child is not doing ICT as an option they should be following Unit 3 Graphics from 2008. This is called Chill Out Here where they have been asked to design the interior of a youth club. For more information and the brief click here.

By the end of Term One we expect all students to have achieved the following. Created an eportfolio using MSFrontpage. Then to have linked all of the publications and included chat within the eportfolio.

Deadline for completion: Friday 2nd April 2010

Submission to Edexcel: 14th May 2010

Term 1

Welcome to the first posting of the new and improved ICT Blog. The aims are very simple. There are two. First to keep parents updated as to where there children should be and second to allow parents an opportunity to respond with observations, ideas and questions.
